In front of the Palazzo Vecchio stands a copy of Michelangelo's David, on the
same spot where the original stood for hundreds of years. To the right is
Hercules and Cacus by Bandinelli. The column on the right is the corner of
the Loggia dei Lanzi, an outdoor sculpture gallery.

Giambologna's famous Rape of the Sabine Women (photo courtesy of Tara Matthew), done in
1583, and a 19th century work by Pio Fedi, Rape of Polyzena. Both works are in the Loggia.
